Summary
The Assistant Property Manager will oversee following aspects in 2 properties (6 rooms and 4 rooms)
- Housekeeping supervision (must)- directly report to Head of Maintenance and Housekeeping
- Maintenance coordination (must)- directly report to Head of Maintenance and Housekeeping
- And support guest relations manager (not necessary)- directly report to guest interaction and relations manager
This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure a high standard of cleanliness, coordinate with vendors for timely repairs, and maintain a welcoming environment for guests. The ideal candidate should be able to anticipate guest needs and respond swiftly to maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping Supervision (must)
- Ensure housekeeping staff adhere to cleanliness standards and maintain the property’s appearance.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to verify housekeeping quality.
- Train housekeeping staff on best practices, safety, and cleanliness protocols.
- Maintenance Coordination (must)
- Schedule and supervise routine and preventive maintenance activities to keep property facilities in top condition.
- Liaise with local vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance, ensuring quality work and budget adherence.
- Track and document all maintenance activities, addressing any issues promptly.
- Monitor and manage housekeeping and maintenance supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Reporting and Documentation (must)
- Maintain daily records of expenses incurred for maintenance and other services.
- Maintain records of housekeeping performance, maintenance schedules, and guest feedback.
- Support guest interaction and relations manager (not necessary)
- Support the guest relations manager in showing the rooms and provide a property orientation to the walk-in guests.
- Greet guests upon arrival, providing a warm welcome and orientation to the property.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest maintenance and repairs inquiries, concerns, and requests, providing timely resolutions.
Requirements (not degrees)
- Have a two wheeler is not necessary but nice to have (transport allowance given).
- Hunger to learn and succeed.
- Honest. No shady characters please.
- Sincere, hard working and punctual. No chill-bros please.
- Attention to small details.
- Ability to maintain cordial relations with housekeeping staff and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Working conditions
- 8 am to 6 pm, may require evening availability.
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) working.
- Flexibility for household chores such as picking kids from school, etc.
- Poya day off if there are no check-ins and check-outs.
- In low season, work will involve overseeing repairs and construction.
